SparkFest: a festival of Theatre, Music and Dance comes to Burdall’s Yard
Burdall’s Yard is delighted to be hosting SparkFest events for the first time since Next Stage Theatre Company opened the venue in March 2022.
From Saturday 13 May to Saturday 20 May, Burdall’s Yard will be transformed into a SparkFest hub, as 12 exciting artists/companies deliver 16 performances and grace our stage.
It’s a jam packed programme, from stand up comedians and up and coming bands, to truly wild and original theatre.
SparkFest is the realisation of an exciting and dynamic partnership between Bath Festival and Bath Spa University, promising a fresh look at how early career talent engages with Bath audiences and the region’s artistic and business community.
SparkFest celebrates the work of students, staff and alumni of the Bath School of Music and Performing Arts and profiles their collaborations with industry professionals and partnering arts organisations.
For some of the performers SparkFest 2023 at Burdall’s Yard will feel a bit like coming home. A number of the talented participants attended lectures and enjoyed exploring the performing arts in our lovely venue when, for 10 years it was part of the Bath Spa University campus. We can’t wait to welcome them back.
