Hank and Catcher

  • Burdall's Yard Anglo Terrace Bath, England, BA1 5NH United Kingdom (map)

Hank are a London band channelling the city’s contradictions - chaos, beauty, intimacy and alienation. Known for their unpredictable live shows, built around a rotating cast of collaborators, they’ve built a following across the city’s DIY and festival circuits, and have supported the likes of Mannequin Pussy, Sorry, DEADLETTER, Sunken, and more.

Their debut EP Twist Grip released in September on Dalliance Recordings, was produced by Jamie Neville and features guest appearances from Asha Lorenz (Sorry) and Ben Romans-Hopcraft (Warmduscher).

Backed by praise from Clash, So Young Magazine, and BBC6Music and Introducing, Hank’s sound has drawn comparisons to the noise-soaked euphoria of My Bloody Valentine and the restless dynamism of Beck. Meanwhile, tastemakers at Slow Dance included their early demo “3/4” on their annual compilation of new talent, citing their ability to balance experimentation with accessibility.

Hank’s live shows, have become essential viewing, marked by their ability to connect deeply with their audience while still keeping them guessing. With a new EP on the way, Hank is carving out a space that’s entirely their own—equal parts confessional and confrontational, and always compelling.

Formed in 2021, Brooklyn’s Catcher have garnered a growing international fan base with their captivating and visceral live performances. The 5 piece quickly established a reputation as ‘NYC’s hottest guitar wielding prospects’ as mentioned in The NME 100: Essential Emerging Artists and were included in The Austin Chronicle’s ‘Best Music We Saw at SXSW’ list in 2022.

Formed in 2017 by Tavish Westwood as a solo project, Denh Izen were a product of the London guitar band resurgence of the second half of the 2010s. After the release of their debut EP ‘Storage Solutions’ in 2018, and a string of further releases, the band went on hiatus in 2020. Reforming as a new iteration in late 2023, Denh Izen have been steadily honing their expansive sound and immersive live shows. Blending post-rock with the melodic and intriguing sensibilities of alternative and art-rock, they continue to build upon the foundations of the core, raw energy and visceral nature of their beginnings.
