The Craft and Jennifer’s Body

  • Burdall's Yard Anglo Terrace Bath, England, BA1 5NH United Kingdom (map)

Let’s try this one again, this time on a better date, with better funding from the National Lottery via the BFI! From Rebecca Femme, to Miriam Blaylock, to May Dove Canady, Sapphic and lesbian characters and relationships have always been at the heart of the horror genre, and we intend to celebrate that.

For our latest (rescheduled, thank you all for your patience and support) event, on September 4th at Burdall's Yard, we will having an evening of appreciation for two of the most iconic lesbian/Sapphic-coded horror movies from the last 30 years: Jennifer's Body and The Craft. Both with a focus on the intense, life-changing relationships that occur between young women, and the inevitable fallout, we're so excited to bring this highly anticipated double bill to you all.

We’re also doubly excited that these two undeniably queer films are being introduced by Bath drag legend: Remy Melee! A sentient non-binary marshmallow with a heart of gold, and a staple of the Bath drag and DJ scenes, we can’t wait for them to join us for this event. And, as always, we’ll have art for sale by the wonderful Danny Leigh and Zoe Burgess, PLUS newcomer and beloved friend of Reel Life Monsters, Rusty!
