Twin City are one of the UK’s most exciting Indie Rock & Roll newcomers. Based in Bristol, Twin City consist of Welsh brothers Louis (Vocals/Guitar) and Toby Ellis (Drums), Conor Feeney (Bass), Pete Refson (Rhythm Guitar), and James Wilson (Lead Guitar).
The band launched in 2021 and wasted no time by releasing their first single Shake The Walls with accompanying music video which gained instant traction receiving over 10,000 views on YouTube in it’s first week of release along with multiple airplay on Radio-X, BBC Introducing, SiriusXM, and Amazing Radio UK & US.
Their second single Looking Glass was released on the 1st May 2022 and was quickly picked as BBC Upload’s ‘Big New Sound’ receiving a full week of prime time airplay on BBC radio.
Twin City’s debut gig sold out in under 24 hours forcing a venue upgrade which also sold out 24 hours later. The band's second ever gig was main support for The Lathums in front of a 1000 strong sold out crowd at Bristol's Trinity Centre.
They will be joined by Bath locals Sober Sundays, who have previously performed at Burdall’s Yard in 2022, a gig that saw one of our lively audiences, crowd surfing and not a whole lot of being sober. Since then and known for their mixture of alt rock, hip hop and spoken word sound, the band have performed at Party in the City’s main stage multiple times, Bristol’s Thekla and even at a city festival in Germany!
Opening the night will be Chasing Kites who were originally founded by frontman Matt Donnelly and guitarist Liam Hope in 2021. Following a long search for a settled rhythm section, drummer James Hunt and bassist Nathan Price were drafted in to complete the band’s electric sound.
Hailing from Bristol and twice named as a BBC Big New Sound, the group intertwine dynamic hooks, 80s synth textures and vivid narratives, capturing reflections on the stories of Donnelly's youth. With echoes of , Catfish and The Bottlemen, The Cure and The 1975 the band have already conjured an arena-ready sound at a tender age.
